Three pieces in one. “The Imaginary Zoo” pokes zoos in general and televised animal shows in particular very firmly in the eye. Following that, “The American Made Bomb Speaks Out” takes semi-lethal aim at military protocol for weapons deployment, and we wrap up with “Genre 2012,” which reviews a New Yorker article that investigates the boundaries of literary vs. genre writing, a subject near and dear to my heart, and my work.
